That’s how it all started somewhere around 2013. Lindy Hamilton, an 8 year old country/bluegrass singer was sitting in with longtime friends and guitar players Mark McDowell and Ted Brown at a gig they were playing.
Free range, organic music was the general rule, and now the moniker of The Dusty Rambler’s Project. Thursday night jams is where it all began, as free range and organic as you can get. Started by two middle-aged guys with a passion for good music and guitars, the rotating door of great musicians and singers brought in by McDowell narrowed down. What emerged were some creative and fun originals with a perfect blend of blues, bluegrass, swing and rock covers with Mark and Ted in the lead and a core of backing musicians. The Dusty Rambler’s write songs about some of the most fun and obvious things in life… tie dye shirts, old cars, dressing up, and life experiences.
